Disgruntled South African citizens responds to the ever changing load shedding schedules as Eskom is now implementing stage 3 of load shedding on Thursday 20 October 2022.
Eskom said on the statement they had issued that they had announced previously that stage 3 will be coming to an end but however stage 3 will continue to be implemented until further notice.
“Previously we had communicated that stage 3 will be suspended at 05:00 on Friday. However stage 3 load shedding will continue to be implemented until further notice. The delay in return to service of a generating unit each at Duvha, Grootvlei, Kendal and two units at Tutuka power stations, as well as breakdown of a unit each at Kusile and Komati power stations have necessitated the escalation of load shedding,” Said the Eskom media team.
On of the citizens Micheal John Louw said these ever changing stages are not fair they at least need to be given a chance to adapt on one stage not changing the stages every now and again.
“This is now getting beyond the ridiculous. Why not just leave it at Stage 3 and at least allow us the opportunity of planning our schedules around that instead of playing a yo-yo game with us? It's bad enough that Eskom has negatively affected our lives forever without having to add confusion and further disruption with erratic implementation of load shedding levels. At least if we remain on one level one can plan accordingly. But no, disruption is the name of the game. I am not impressed,” mentioned Louw.
Another citizen Marius Brits said they South Africa is now a leading country when it’s comes to load shedding.
“What is new, always brake downs at different stations and load shedding go on. Unfortunate becoming a way of life. We are now the world leaders in load shedding,” Brits mentioned.
