DURBAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY NETBALL FIRST YEAR TEAM PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMPUS LEAGUE
By Sthembile Ndlovu The Durban University of Technology (DUT) sports introduced campus league for the first time on the 1st of September 2022 for various sports to participate. Nonjabulo Shangase the manager of the first year students netball team, said leagues have existed in DUT before but they ended up being attended by resident students. That is why the sports officer decided to start this league to accommodate all students. "The league is called campus league, in the institution we have different leagues but most of these leagues end up being attended by students who reside in DUT residences. That when sport officer decide to start the league where every DUT student from different facilities and staff member to join and play together," she mentioned. Shangase said creating the first year team was a challenge and she is confident that they are going to win the league.
